It aims to realise the benefits of London 2012 to local communities. BOOST aims to build a legacy of London 2012 in Bedfordshire. There are roles to play locally for individuals, sporting clubs, businesses and organizations to support Bedfordshire’s plans and vision. You can register to volunteer as an individual and also if you are a business and happy to help then also please register your details under the business section.
The Chamber of Commerce, BLEDP (Bedfordshire and Luton Economic Development Partnership), Renaissance Bedford, London Luton Airport and other voluntary sector groups are also active members of BOOST. www.boost.uk.com BOOST is a public, private, 3rd sector partnership including Bedford BC, Luton BC, Central Bedfordshire Council, the University of Bedfordshire and the Harpur Trust. All of these partners make a financial contribution BOOST was created by the late Frank Branston, Bedford Borough’s first mayor to support Bedfordshire and Luton rising to the challenge of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. The partnership aims to create a legacy for Bedfordshire 2012 in the following areas: business, tourism, culture, education and young people and Sport and Physical Activity. |
